A cellist and opera singer by education born in 1984 in Wrocław. She graduated from the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music.

She began her writing career in 2009 with the novel “Prophecy”. She moves in all literary genres from horror to common literature. She is best known for her detective stories and thrillers such as “Liquidation” or retro crime stories from the “Chronicles of Klara Schulz” series.

Szagdaj is also a journalist and detective. Professionally associated with Gazeta Wrocławska. She is a producer of documentary films and series, such as “Mroki Dolnego Śląska” (for TVP3 Wrocław).

Privately, she lives with her family outside Wrocław.
